By accessing or using Briffly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of Briffly after any changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Description of Service

Briffly is a personalized tech news aggregator. We collect and present articles from publicly available RSS feeds published by third-party websites, blogs, and publications. The Service provides:

• A curated feed of technology news sourced from original publishers via their public RSS feeds
• Personalized article recommendations based on your reading interests and interaction history
• Optional AI-generated summaries to help you quickly assess article relevance
• Tools to save, like, and organize articles for later reading

Briffly does not produce original journalism. All articles are sourced from and attributed to their original publishers, and we always link back to the original source.

User Accounts

To access personalized features, you must create an account. Briffly supports the following authentication methods:

• Email OTP login: A one-time passcode is sent to your email address each time you sign in. No password is stored.
• Apple Sign In: Authentication via your Apple ID.
• Google Sign In: Authentication via your Google account.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the email address associated with it. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content

Intellectual Property

Briffly does not claim ownership of any article content displayed through the Service. All articles, images, and associated media remain the intellectual property of their respective original publishers and authors. We aggregate content from publicly available RSS feeds and always attribute and link back to the original source.

The Briffly name, logo, user interface design, and underlying software are the property of Briffly and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

AI-Generated Summaries

Briffly offers optional AI-generated summaries of articles to help you quickly assess their relevance. These summaries are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for convenience only. They are not a substitute for reading the original article. AI summaries may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations of the source material. We encourage you to read the full article from the original publisher for complete and accurate information.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app. Upon deletion, your personal data, reading history, and preferences will be permanently removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or its users.

Limitation of Liability

Briffly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Briffly and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Your continued use of Briffly after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
